Vera Salsman
   
August 1, 1995
    Vera M. Salsman, 82, of RR 2, Laceyville (Golden Hill), died Tuesday at the
   
Robert Packer Hospital, SayreBorn April 18, 1913, on Clapper Hill, she was
the daughter of the late Burt and Elizabeth Frisbie Woodruff.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L., in 1977; sons, Lyle,
in 1951; Maynard, in 1959; Duane, in 1975; sisters, Berneta cq Snyder, in
1978; Gertrude, in 1981; Cathryn cq White, in 1993.
   
Surviving are sons, Romaine, Wyalusing; Eldon, Sugar Run; David and
Richard, both of Meshoppen; Edsel and Jeffrey, both of Laceyville; daughters,
Reatha cq Robinson, Marlene Rodriguez, Mrs. Ronnie (Linda) Brown and Joanne,
all of Laceyville; 131 cq grandchilren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Woodruff, Laceyville; Gerald
Woodruff, Wyalusing; sisters, Mrs. Robert (Irene) Brown, Towanda; Mrs. Elwin
(Marie) VanDeMark, Laceyville; several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Sheldon Funeral Home,
Main Street, Laceyville, with the Rev. Ruth Breitweiser, retired methodist
minister, officiating.
   
Interment will be in the North Flat Cemetery, Laceyville.
   
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
   
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wyoming County
Cancer Society, c/o Tyler Memorial Hospital, RR 1, Tunkhannock, Pa., 18657.
