DALLAS — A fire on Wednesday afternoon at 169 Main St. resulted in damage to the second story of a single family home.

According to Regional EMS Chief Chris Good, police responded to the scene shortly after it was called in at about 3 p.m. and safely removed to residents of the home from the structure.

Good said the fire resulted in a small amount of damage to a room in the home and resident’s belongings.

According to Good, residents could return to the home immediately.

Good credited Back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS, and Shavertown, Kunkle and Trucksville fire departments with quick response to the incident, bringing the fire under control quickly.
