LARKSVILLE — A man and woman apparently celebrated their release from a rehab center by getting drunk, getting lost and getting arrested.

Borough police were dispatched to the 400 block of West State Street at about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man and woman who claimed they just got out of rehab and were lost.

Larksville police officers Stephen Kofchak and Shawn Reilly and Plymouth police officer Mike Thomas responded and found the couple at the intersection of West State and Carver streets, about 3 miles from their home on Roosevelt Street in Edwardsville.

Police said the man, Shawn Kratz, was highly intoxicated and could barely stand. They said the woman, Christine Biggs, told them she only had one beer, but she, too, appeared highly intoxicated.

The duo told police they just got out of Allenwood Rehab and were trying to get to their Edwardsville residence. Neither of them had any idea how they wound up in Larksville, police said.

Kratz and Biggs were placed under arrest and transported to the police station. They were issued citations for public drunkenness and transported home.
