Betty Lou Nordfors, 69, of Dallas, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy Mahler Miller. Betty graduated from Dallas-Franklin-Monroe High School in 1957. Before retiring, she was employed as a machine operator by ENCON, Dallas, and previously had been employed as a secretary by Hartford Insurance.
She was a member of the Huntsville Christian Church and previously attended the East Dallas United Methodist Church. A lover of music, Betty especially enjoyed rock and roll, and frequently attended the Music Box Playhouse.
As an avid baseball fan, her favorite team was the Phillies. She also enjoyed walks with her friends from the Meadows Apartments.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Miller.
Surviving are son Leonard Clayton Nordfors Jr., Sweet Valley; daughter Lenette Claire Clark and companion Walter Dadey, Harveys Lake; granddaughter Randi Lynn Nordfors, Sweet Valley; sister-in-law Doris (Chris) Miller, Shallotte, N.C.; as well as niece Kimberly Miller.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Huntsville Christian Church, Church Road, Huntsville, with the Rev. Dennis M. Gray officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call Friday, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Huntsville Christian Church, or the Luzerne County S.P.C.A. Arrangements by the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., Dallas.
