Dorothy A. Zaykoski, 72, formerly of the Hanover Section of Nanticoke, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Hospice Community Care at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
She was born on June 15, 1938, in Wilkes-Barre, and was a daughter of the late George and Mary Kosierowski Sefcik.
She was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Class of 1955, and was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church, presently St. Faustina Parish.
She was employed for many years for the Social Security Administration, prior to Kraft Foods.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Carl, in 2008; and by brothers, Joseph and George; and a sister, Margaret.
Presently surviving are sons, Rich and wife Sue, Hamstead, Md.; Jim and wife Gail, Mount Airy, Md., and Ronald and wife Judy, Nanticoke; beloved grandchildren Zachary and Chris, Hamstead, Md.; Kyle and Amanda, Mount Airy, Md.; and Samantha, Kevin and Abbey, Nanticoke; sisters Helen Wadas, New York, and Theresa Kolakowski, Michigan; brothers John, Bethlehem, Pa., and Anthony, Maryland; as well as nieces and nephews.

The Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C., 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Faustina Parish, Nanticoke, with the Rev. James Nash officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m.
