WILKES-BARRE – City police reported the following:
• Alissa Wright, 19, of North Hancock Street, reported at 2:11 p.m. Sunday that someone stole jewelry from her residence.
• Police said David Keller, of Benton, admitted to running a red light before he crashed his Chevrolet sedan into a Dodge sedan driven by Mary Ann Kmetz, of Wilkes-Barre, at the intersection of East Northampton and South Washington streets at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday.
Police said all occupants, including Kmetz’s passenger, Tammy Kmetz, of Benton, were treated at the scene of the crash.
• City police said they are investigating a robbery of a taxi driver on South Welles Street on Sunday.
Dennis Eaton, of Posten Taxi, told police he picked up two men in the area of 187 S. Welles St. at 9:37 p.m. One of the men placed an object to Eaton while the other man demanded money.
Eaton said the men removed the taxi’s keys before they fled.
• Police said a male wearing dark clothing kicked open a door at the Commission on Economic Opportunity, Hillside Street, and stole three boxes at about 4:28 a.m. Monday. The man loaded the boxes in a dark-colored Pontiac that sped away on Hillside Street, police said.
CEO Executive Director Gene Brady could not be reached for comment on Monday.
HANOVER TWP. – Police reported the following:
• Sylvia Scanlon, of Lee Park Avenue, reported approximately $50 in quarters was stolen during a burglary at her residence from Dec. 30 to Sunday.
• Mary Mangan, of Oxford Street, reported that a television was stolen during a burglary at her residence on Sunday.
