The rain held off for most of the weekend, but it looks like the Wyoming Valley will get another dose of April showers this week.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 37 degrees at 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Clouds made for a gray morning commute, but it was an otherwise quiet Monday morning.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, with rain likely after 4 p.m. A 60 percent chance of rain is predicted, with between a tenth and quarter of an inch expected. Today’s high is expected to climb near 50 degrees.

Rain is expected once again tonight, with the low only dropping to 47 degrees. Between a quarter and a half an inch of rain is possible.

The rain will carry on before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, with cloudy skies eventually giving way to mostly sunny skies. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. The high will break the 60-degree mark. Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Tuesday night, with the low dropping to the upper 30s.

Sunny skies are predicted for Sunday, with the high climbing to the lower to mid 50s. Clear skies will carry on into Wednesday night with a low in the lower 30s.
