WILKES-BARRE — Hundreds of children gathered on Public Square Saturday morning to welcome the Easter Bunny to town at the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association’s 6th annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Five thousand eggs were placed on Public Square and filled with candy and toys. Special prizes will also be given out in each age category ages 10 and under.

Patrons will be asked to follow the “Bunny Trail” flyer and patronize local businesses.

Some businesses had their own Easter themed activities, such as face painting, balloon animails, storytelling and egg dying.
