Janet G. Jones, 77, of Plymouth, passed away Monday, March 29, 2010, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

She was a loving and devoted mother of nine who really enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved camping, amusement parks, games, dancing and sewing.

Janet was born on September 30, 1932, in Bethlehem, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Madeline Guth Muschlitz and the late Floyd Muschlitz.

She was a graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem, Pa.

Janet was formerly employed for 21 years as a seamstress for Downing Garment and for Leslie Fay. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and the Elm Hill Hose Co. No. 3 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Muschlitz.

Janet is survived by her husband, Henry, and would have celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on April 1; children, Frederick (Juvy) Szoke, Korea, Michael Douglas (Laura) Szoke, Wilkes-Barre, Susan (Tom) Szoke Eckroth, Hunlock Creek, Patty (Bob) Szoke Clark, Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Patty Ann Jones Clarke, Wilkes-Barre, Sandra Szoke (Jeri Edwards), San Diego, Calif., Henry A Jones Jr., Plymouth, Janet Lee Jones, Plymouth, and Carol (Stephen) Jones Stasukinas, Plymouth; sister Dolores Loiacono, Phillipsburg, N.J.; brother Floyd Muschlitz Jr., Bethlehem, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held on at 10 a.m. Thursday from Williams-Hagen Funeral Home Inc., 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev Robert Smith officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia.
