Police investigating attempted robbery at night deposit drop box

WILKES-BARRE — City police are investigating an attempted robbery of a man making a night deposit at the Community Bank on North Franklin Street around 6:30 p.m.

The suspect reportedly took the man’s car keys and fled on foot. The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, heavy set, wearing a gray hooded top and a ski mask. He was seen running north on North Franklin Street through the King’s College campus toward North Street.
