It looks as though spring has officially arrived in the Wyoming Valley — that means warmth and rain, which is exactly what’s expected this week.
It was a mostly sunny start to the beginning of the work week. The National Weather Service indicated that it was 40 degrees at 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
Sunshine will continue to shine throughout the day today, and temperatures will warm to the mid 60s. Clouds will move into the area tonight, along with a chance for showers after 1 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch or rain is possible, and tonight’s low will drop to the mid 40s.
Showers are expected tomorrow, with between a quarter and a half an inch of rain expected. The high will reach the mid 50s. That chance for rain will carry on into Tuesday night, with another quarter to a half an inch of rain possible. Tuesday’s night’s low will drop to the lower 40s.
Showers are once again in the forecast for Wednesday and Wednesday night. Wednesday’s high will reach the mid 50s, while the low on Wednesday night will be in the upper 40s.
