WHITE HAVEN – State police said there were multiple injuries Sunday afternoon in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 80.

State police provided the following account:

Around 5:05 p.m., a Peterbilt truck, a Toyota Camry and a Dodge Caravan were traveling east on the highway near the White Haven on-ramp

The van, driven by Sueb Mubarak, 47, of Detroit, slowed down for a vehicle on the ramp.

Truck driver William Clayton, 62, of Ellwood City, applied his brakes because he thought he was going to strike the van traveling in front of him.

The driver of the Toyota, Carolin Sullivan-Warner, 45, of Wellsboro, was traveling in the passing lane and swerved because she thought she was going to be struck by the truck.

The Toyota struck a bridge and then traveled into the roadway and struck the van. The van then struck the driver’s-side front of the truck, which also struck the bridge.

Mubarak and his eight passengers and Sullivan-Warner and her two passengers were taken to area hospitals, where they were treated for their injuries and released.
