A Stroudsburg man will serve 14 to 28 months in prison in connection with a public indecency arrest in the city last September, as well as two other cases.

Brian Luke, 23, was sentenced Monday by Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas.

On Sept. 20, two girls reported that a male who had been following them in the area of the McDonald’s on South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard was hiding in a tree. Police located Luke in the tree and saw that he had a hand inside the front of his pants. They ordered him to put his hand in the air and come out of the tree.

He walked out but had his hands down by the front of his pants. He complied with a second order to put up his hands and police saw that his pants were open. He put his hands down and tried to pull a brown object from his pants, prompting police to use a Taser on him.

Luke pleaded guilty to one count each of stalking, indecent exposure and open lewdness in the case.

Monday’s plea also covered two other cases: an August indecent exposure charge and an October false alarm charge, for which details were not available.
