SHICKSHINNY — Wendy Kramer said Tuesday that she has resigned as Shickshinny borough secretary-treasurer, effective May 22.
Kramer, who has come under criticism from citizens attending the council meetings and from the minority members of council, said she will instead devote herfull-time to her primary vocation, that of real estate agent for Realty World of Berwick.
Kramer, who succeeded Melissa Weber in 2012, has been serving the borough three days per week handling financial affairs and the business agenda of council. She previously attempted to resign in April, but at that time was persuaded by the current majority of council, Rosalie Whitebread, Michael Steeber and James Wido, to reconsider.
Council is scheduled to meet for a work session on May 29 and June 3 for its regular public meeting.
