Northeastern Pennsylvania has been placed under a flash flood watch.
The National Weather Service indicates that the watch is in effect from 2 a.m. tonight until 2 a.m. late Friday night.
A slow-moving cold front is expected to pass across the region. Moist conditions ahead of the front will enable moderate to heavy rain overnight and into Friday evening. Embedded thunderstorms are also possible.
A flash flood watch indicates that conditions may develop that could result in flash flooding.
