One in custody after armed robbery at Wilkes-Barre store

WILKES-BARRE — Police made an arrest in a reported armed robbery at a convenience store earlier this evening.

City police confirmed that one person has been taken into custody and is being processed by detectives following the robbery at the Turkey Hill Minit Market at the corner of South Main and Blackman streets.

Luzerne County 911 said a report of an armed robbery at the store was received at 8:49 p.m.

The suspect was still being processed at police headquarters as of 10:25 p.m., and further information was not immediately available, police said.
