The Wyoming Valley managed to dodge the rain overnight.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 64 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
Fair skies greeted morning commuters, but clouds are expected to move into the area throughout the day. Today’s high will reach the upper 70s.
Cloudy skies will carry on into night, along with showers after 2 a.m. Between a quarter and a half an inch of rain is expected. Tonight’s low will dip to the upper 50s.
Showers will continue to be likely before 11 a.m. on Thursday. Between a quarter and a half an inch of rain is possible. Thursday’s high will be in the upper 60s. Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Thursday night, with a low in the lower 50s.
Sunny skies will return to the Wyoming Valley on Friday, with a high in the mid 70s. Clear skies will continue into Friday night, with a low in the mid 50s.
