WILKES-BARRE — Orange will be the new blue for city garbage bags.

The color change is the result of a shortage of materials in the manufacturing process, Mayor George Brown said Tuesday. The orange bags will have the city of Wilkes-Barre seal and cost the same as the blue bags.

The orange bags will be available soon in stores. Residents can use both colors.
