It looks like more showers and thunderstorms are coming to the Wyoming Valley.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 63 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. It was a sunny Sunday morning, with only a few lingering clouds in the sky.
Sunny skies will continue to be the trend today, with the high climbing to the mid 80s. Clear skies will continue into tonight, with a low in the lower 60s.
Mostly sunny skies are once again expected on Monday, but there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. It is also looking to be a windy day, with gusts as high as 28 miles per hour. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected. Monday’s high will be in the upper 80s.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms will carry on into Monday night, followed by a slight chance of showers overnight. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, but higher amounts call fall during thunderstorms. Monday night’s low will be in the upper 60s.
Tuesday will also bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny skies are expected otherwise, with a high in the upper 80s. That chance for showers and thunderstorms will carry on into Tuesday night, with a low in the upper 60s.
