PRINGLE — UGI Electric Utilities and the American Red Cross set up a cooling station at the West Side Career and Technology Center on Evans Street in Pringle for those UGI customers without electrical service.

The cooling station will be open until 8 p.m. Wednesday, and reopen at 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Affected customers can obtain one bag of ice after 6 tonight.

The cooling station will have water, snacks, charging stations for electronics and cell phones and shower facilities.

Nearly 14,000 UGI customers mostly in the Back Mountain lost electrical service due to the thunderstorm early Tuesday night.
