WILKES-BARRE — A large amount of heroin worth $6,600 and cocaine with a street value of $1,000 were seized when state police at Wyoming assisted the U.S. Marshal Service at a residence on Madison Street on Thursday.
State police troopers with the Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Rohan Riccardo Reid, 35, charging him with three counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was arraigned by District Judge Martin Kane in Wilkes-Barre early Thursday afternoon and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.
State police said 330 heroin packets, five grams of heroin, 10 grams of marijuana and about $1,000 were found in plain view at 119 Madison St.
The drugs and cash were found when troopers assisted the U.S. Marshals in serving an arrest warrant at the residence at about 7 a.m.
