JACKSON TWP. — A woman was taken to a hospital after her car went down an embankment off state Route 29 tonight.
Police were dispatched at 7:50 p.m. to an area about a quarter-mile north of Smith Pond Road and arrived to find the female driver covered in blood and walking along the highway seeking help.
Police said the woman had no recollection of the crash, but woke up inside her Honda Accord, which was upside down in a ditch.
The woman was transported by ambulance to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township for treatment.
An investigation continues.
