DALLAS —An elderly woman was killed in a two vehicle crash on the Dallas Memorial Highway on Friday.
Police at the scene said the woman, who was not identified, turned into the southbound lanes from the access road to Jack Williams Tire and Auto Center and AA Auto at about 11:30 a.m. When she turned, her vehicle was struck by another vehicle.
The force of the impact caused the woman to be ejected from her vehicle, police said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Luzerne County Coroner Bill Lisman.
Southbound traffic is restricted to a single lane while northbound traffic is moving slowly.
