    ndrew J. (Chabin) Ciebien, formerly of Warrior Run, died Saturday at the
Northeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Center, Scranton, where he was a resident
since 1994.
   

   
Born in Warrior Run, he was the son of the late John and Julia (Maron)
Ciebien. He attended Warrior Run schools. He was a milkman for the Woodlawn
and Foremost dairies, until retiring in 1971. After retiring, he worked at
Kempinski Pharmacy. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the
602nd Mule Pack Field Artillery Unit in the Rome-Arno, Southern France,
Rhineland, Central European and African-Middle Eastern theaters. He was a
member of Holy Family Church, Sugar Notch, and life member of the American
Legion Post 176, Warrior Run, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5267, Hanover
Township.
   
He was preceded in death by his wife, C. Irene; brothers, Leon, Victor and
Joe; and sisters, Alice Braynock and Mary.
   
Surviving are his daughters, Andrea Barnes, Pittsburgh; and Rita Jaslar,
Hatfield; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces
and nephews.
   

   
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Joseph L. Wroblewski
Funeral Home, 56 Ashley St., Ashley, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10
a.m. at Holy Family Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover
Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
