The Bracken Theatre Company will return to Courtroom No. 1 of the Luzerne
County Courthouse for the fourth consecutive year. The courthouse has been a
highly successful venue for Bracken in the past, having been the host to the
group’s productions of “Twelve Angry Men,” “Witness for the Prosecution”
and “Nuts.”

This year, the group will bring a production of “Never the Sinner” by
John Logan to the a true-to-life setting. Set in Chicago in 1924, “Never the
Sinner” is based on the true story of the thrill killing of a young boy by
Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb.
Through witness testimony and flashbacks to the events surrounding the
murder, “Never the Sinner” allows the audience to peer into the minds of
these privileged and intelligent but disturbed young men.

Directed by William Gatevackes, “Never the Sinner” stars Neil Andress and
Dave Reynolds as Leopold and Loeb and Warren Rosengrant as defense attorney
Clarence Darrow.

“Never the Sinner” will be presented Friday and Saturday, and May 11 and
12. Performances are at 8 p.m. at the Luzerne County Courthouse. Tickets are
$12 for general admission, $10 for students and seniors. (Due to the subject
matter, “Never the Sinner” is recommended for mature audiences only.)
