Ruth Thomas

    uth S. Thomas, of Warren Street, West Pittston, died Monday at the Wesley
Village Retirement Center, Jenkins Township.
   
Born Dec. 21, 1910, in West Pittston, she was a daughter of the late David
R. and Eliza Jane (Campbell) Thomas. She was a 1929 graduate of West Pittston
High School and a graduate of the Wyoming Seminary Dean School of Business.
She was employed by Northeastern Bank of Pennsylvania. She was employed as a
secretary at the Lackawanna Trust Co., the Arthur D. Hemelright Trust Co. and
as a receptionist and assistant to T. Archer Morgan. She was employed as
executive secretary at the First National Bank of Scranton. She was a member
of Trinity Episcopal Church, West Pittston.
   
She was preceded in death by brother, Robert; and sister, Doris Thomas.
   
Surviving are sister, Helen W. Thomas, New Jersey; and nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Howell-Lussi Funeral
Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with the Rev. John Major officiating.
Interment will be in West Pittston Cemetery.
   
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday.
   
Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church, West
Pittston.
