Mary Berezich

Mary Berezich, 86, of Plains Township, died Monday in Hospice Care of VNA
Inpatient Unit at Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Jan. 26, 1917, in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Michael
and Sophie (Kenyu) Pleskach. She worked as a homemaker and was a member of St.
Mary’s Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Marion; and sons,
William and David.
Surviving are daughter, Carol Caparoni, Kenville, N.J.; son, Thomas J.,
Shavertown; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several brothers
and sisters.
Private funeral services will be at the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc.,
136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with the Rev. James G. Hayer officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Assumption Byzantine Catholic Cemetery,
Dallas.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice VNA at
Heritage House, 80 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre.
