HANOVER TWP. — Township police are investigating separate armed robberies within 20 minutes Thursday afternoon.
Police said a white male, 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, medium build, entered Claire’s Bar on Hazle Street and brandished a black semi-automatic handgun while demanding money at about 12:10 p.m. The man wore a black zip up hooded sweatshirt with white stencil on the front and concealed his face with a black and white bandana.
The man ran out a rear door with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
At about 12:27 p.m., police said a white man, about 35-years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin build, entered Forever Nail Salon in the West End Plaza, West End Road, and demanded money while brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun, police said.
The suspect in the nail salon robbery wore a blue and black jacket and a white cloth covering his face. The suspect fled the nail salon business without any cash, police said.
