BEAR CREEK TWP. — Details for the new school construction took up more than half of the meeting of the Bear Creek Community Charter School Board on Monday night.
The board reviewed and selected finishes for floors and walls and other surfaces as the time for bidding on the project draws near. The board also discussed the timber-harvesting permit that will be needed for clearing the lot and the pending approvals from the state Department of Environmental Protection and PennDOT.
The board also discussed a paver stone fundraiser that is underway in connection to the construction project.
In other business, the board reappointed Murphy, Dougherty & Co. as the school’s independent auditor for a three-year period ending June 30, 2016.
They also approved Newell Fuel Services to provide heating oil for the school at a price of $3.348 per gallon through April 2014 and approved the addition of Amanda Jakuboski to the substitute list at a rate of $100 per diem.
