James C. DeSombre, 57, of Trumansburg, N.Y, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, October 4, 2009, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre.
He was born in Wilkes Barre to Everett and Edna Harrison DeSombre of Forty Fort. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and Wilkes University. He married Bonnie Long DeSombre on November 16, 1974. Jim has worked for Borg Warner Automotive for 32 years, most recently as Director, Global Supplier Development.
He was preceded in death by his brother Kurt.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are sons Jason and wife Kristin, Seymour, Conn., and Jeff and wife Ashley, Newburgh, N.Y.; grandchildren Jacob and Maddie; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Jean Long, Trucksville; Brenda, Rob, Kelly and Megan McCauley, Tunkhannock; Barbara Long, Langhorne, and loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends and business associates.

Funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 672 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Rev. Lori Steffensen officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
A viewing will be Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Bangs Funeral Home, Ithaca, N.Y., and Thursday, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., Dallas.
Jim’s family will be forever grateful to the medical staffs at Cayuga Medical Center and Robert Packer Hospital.
