JENKINS TWP. — A branch of First National Community Bank was closed Friday after it was robbed late Thursday afternoon.


The bank at state Route 315 and Old Boston Road was robbed at about 5:20 p.m.


A report indicated that the suspects tied up those inside the bank.


Township police Chief Frank Mudlock did not return a message for additional information about the robbery on Friday.


According to the bank’s website, the bank is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and closed on Saturday and Sunday.


No charges have been filed.


State police forensic services unit responded to the scene Thursday to assist in the investigation.
