WILKES-BARRE — A Dallas Township man has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of sexual abuse in connection with allegations that investigators discovered child pornography on his electronic devices.
Caleb Daniel Fox, 26, made the admissions Friday before Luzerne County Judge Tina Polachek Gartley.
Fox, also listed in court papers as a resident of Mifflinburg, in Union County, was arrested in August following an investigation by the state Attorney General’s office.
According to a criminal complaint, a special agent with the AG’s Child Predator Unit tracked child pornography being downloaded by a computer traced to Fox’s residence. A forensic analysis of an external hard drive and a cell phone located 15 images of children engaged in sex acts, the complaint says.
Fox initially was charged with 17 counts of child pornography and a single count of criminal use of communication facility.
According to court documents, on Friday Fox pleaded guilty to seven counts of sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of communication facility.
Fox will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 1. Prosecutors will make no recommendation as to sentencing, according to court documents.
