WILKES-BARRE — Think of it as Trans-Siberian Orchestra in a more intimate setting.

The Wizards of Winter will bring their heavy metal, progressive rock vibe and heartwarming sounds of the season to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on Nov. 27th at 8 p.m.

Featuring four original members of TSO, the 11-piece ensemble boasts soaring vocal harmonies, precision string instrumentation, powerful percussion and stunning keyboard work, layered around a rich storyboard that evokes Decembers past.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 8, at 10:00 a.m. and will be available at the Kirby Center Box Office, online at www.kirbycenter.org and charge by phone at (570) 826-1100. Ticket prices are $34 and $44 plus fees. A special Kirby member pre-sale will begin Wednesday at 10 a.m.

The concert offers the public an opportunity to wrap up Black Friday shopping and kick off the holiday season in style. The Wizards of Winter features several of Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s greatest hits, including Christmas Eve in Sarajevo, Mad Russian, Christmas in the Air, Old City Bar, Queen of the Winter Night and others, as well as music from their own rock opera, “Tales Beneath a Northern Star.”

The band includes four original members of Trans-Siberian Orchestra – Tommy Farese, Guy LeMonnier, Tony Gaynor and Joe Cerisano.
