DURYEA — Tracey’s Hope Seventh Annual Memorial Pet Walk and Celebration of Life Event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 13 at Scranton’s McDade Park. Registration to walk with or in memory of a deceased pet will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Cost is $25 per walker. Price includes a Memorial Pet Walk T-shirt, a bandana for the pets or balloons for those walking in memory of a pet.

There will be a blessing of pets by Rev. Gary Mensinger of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Pittston at 11 a.m. with WBRE-TV’s Mark Hiller reciting “The Rainbow Bridge Prayer” and the memorial ceremony and pet walk immediately after.

The Celebration of Life will begin at noon. Admission is free. There will be food and ice cream available, a basket auction with more than 30 baskets valuing up to $200, dogs for adoption, a petting zoo, kids crafting table, children’s fingerprinting by the Moosic Police Department, a bake sale, music by JD Productions, psychic readings, demonstrations by “For Paws and a Tail” DOG Agility, Alan Finn’s Designing Dogs, Therapy Dogs International, and the talented “Dancing Dogs.”

Tracey’s Hope will sell tickets to win a genuine Coach purse, $300 value; a Zales diamond necklace, a $400 value; and an overnight package at Mohegan Sun Pocono Downs Casino Hotel which includes dinner for two at Timbers Casino Buffet and $50 in free slot play.
