During the 2014-2015 school year Dan Flood Elementary raised over $2500 to support local charities through various school activities. The student council coordinated all fundraising activities. The charities supported included St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen, Weinberg Food Bank, American Heart Association, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Jeans for our Troops, and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Students who participated in the fundraising from left, first row, are Cassidy Alles, Xavier Welles, Abigail Kush, Lila Wisher, Vincent Pierendozzi, Jacob Cortez, and Chris Torres. Second row: Bill Monaghan,physical education teacher; Mary Jo Petlock, Reading specialist; Madison Watklevicz, Rhayne Hayward, Donna Flores, Spirit Thomas, Jazlyn Tapia, Kimberly Onofre, Skyler Lee, Melissa Watkins, reading specialist; and Tracey Oram, first grade teacher.
