Open house today at 11 a.m.
Holy Rosary School will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Jan. 25 at the school on 125 Stephenson St. Those in attendance will be able to visit classrooms and see the art work of their child/children.
Clergy and lay members of the feeder parishes are welcome to stop by and enjoy a piece of cake. Come in, meet Principal Candace Lee, the teachers, families, students and take a tour of the building.

Catholic Schools Week
Holy Rosary School will celebrate Catholic Schools Week from now until Friday, Jan. 30.
Here are the events throughout the week:
Sunday, Jan. 25: Liturgies in Home Parishes, 9:30 a.m. Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea
Monday, Jan. 26: Movie Day – grades 4-8 in the morning, Grades Pre-K to 3 in the afternoon
Tuesday, Jan. 27: Talent show dress rehearsal, bake sale, candy sale; team shirt day; Holy Rosary School JV and varsity fun scrimmage 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Seton Catholic.
Wednesday, Jan. 28: Flea market sponsored by the fifth and sixth grades, school-wide dance to the music, school uniform or gym uniforms with Silly Sock/Bedroom Slippers/Crazy Hat Day
Thursday, Jan. 29: Gym Day, ice cream social; pep rally for all grades at 1:30 p.m., School Spirit Day
Friday, Jan. 30: Cheer Off followed by the annual volleyball game, gym uniforms; talent show at 6:30 p.m.
Registration
Holy Rosary School is accepting registration of students for the 2015-16 academic school year. The deadline for all re-registration materials is Friday, Feb. 13 and all materials must be received for re-registration to be complete. Registration for new students in grades that are not yet filled will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
Placement results awarded Jan. 28
Placement results will be given at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Students will have the opportunity to register for classes for the 2015-16 academic school year.
Sky Zone fundraiser Jan. 29
Holy Rosary will host a fundraiser from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 29 at Sky Zone, 525 Keystone Ave., Pittston. Cost is $17 per hour. Parents can register online and fill out the waiver. A portion of sales for each jumper will benefit HRS.
Early dismissal Jan. 30
School will be dismissed at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30. Lunch and busing will be provided.
Talent show donations sought
Remember to send in donations of individual snack bags, soda and/or water for the talent show.
Voucher sales ongoing
Voucher sales will continue to be held in the Holy Rosary Church basement from 8 to 10 a.m. on Thursdays. School families may send in orders on Wednesday to be filled on Thursday.
