You’ve waited all year for this.

Your gun is sighted in, your broadheads are sharp and you are ready to go. It’s time to harvest your deer, or any other animal for that matter, and we’d like to share that with the Back Mountain.

The Dallas Post wants to see your successful deer/turkey hunting photos and hear the story of your kill. Was this your first deer or your biggest one? What kind of weapon did you use? Were you in a tree stand or did you kick it up while walking into the woods? Maybe you woke up from a deep early-morning sleep when you heard him (or her) coming.

Whatever the story is, we would like to hear it, and possibly run it in the newspaper. All appropriate photos will be posted online in a photo album throughout the season.

If you harvested a deer earlier this season with archery equipment, be sure to send us those photos as well.

So, here is how you do it:

  • Email photos to [email protected] with the words “HUNTING PHOTO” in the subject line.
  • Or, you can drop off (or mail) photos to The Dallas Post at 15 North Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA, 18621.
  • Include all pertinent information for a caption. Please include the day you shot the animal, where you shot the animal, how you shot the animal and if you were hunting with anyone. Be sure to include the first and last names of everyone in the photo, along with place of residence.
  • Include how many points or the size of the animal.

Remember to stay safe out there. Happy hunting!
