Guns, valuable collectibles stolen in three burglaries

Pennsylvania State Police in Dunmore is investigating three burglaries at two residences on River Road in Thornhurst Township, Lackawanna County, between Jan. 31 and April 16.


At one residence, five long guns were stolen.


At the second residence, numerous collectibles including coins, trains, a Joan of Arc statue, 80 autographed baseballs and five autographed bats from 1950-1960 era athletes, as well as a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun and two rifles were stolen.


Anyone with information on the location of the items or the burglaries is asked to contact Trooper Kyle Hnat at (570) 963-3156.
