Written threat prompts temporary evacuation at Crestwood high/middle

FAIRVIEW TWP. — The Crestwood middle/high school comples was temporarily evacuated following discovery of a written threat this morning. No threat was found and classes have been resumed. Superintendent Dave McLaughlin-Smith issued the following written statement:


“Today the Crestwood Secondary Complex was threatened by way of a writing discovered on the campus. The District immediately followed its protocol and safely and quickly evacuated all students from the secondary complex. The authorities investigated using law enforcement personnel and bomb sniffing dogs. No dangerous or explosive devices were located. The exact details of the threat are in law enforcement’s hands and they are conducting an investigation to determine the responsible party. The campus is back in session.”
