WILKES-BARRE — Dottie Henry, described by her close friends as “a grand and gracious lady, died Tuesday at age 82 and she will be greatly missed by her family, friends and a community she sincerely cared about.
“She was a gracious lady and an important and dedicated participant and leader in our community,” said Attorney Gene Roth. “She aided her husband in their remarkable charitable endeavors. She certainly will be greatly missed.”
Chuck Parente said he and Frank and Dottie Henry have been friends for more than 40 years. They had dinner together last Friday night, a day before Mrs. Henry took ill.
“She was a very interesting lady, a quality woman,” Parente said. “She was totally committed to her family, her community and her church. She will be sadly missed.”
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold Snowdon Funeral Home, Shavertown. Friends may call Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 474 Yalick Road, Dallas. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the church.
