Reports: McGloin makes Raiders’ roster

The walk-on from West Scranton has made it to the NFL.


Matt McGloin has made the Oakland Raiders 53-man roster, according to several websites.


The former West Scranton High School quarterback began his career as a walk-on quarterback at Penn State. He went on to become a record-setting starter under Coach Bill O’Brien.


He began his professional career as a undrafted free agent signing of the the Oakland Raiders. He move ahead of fourth-round draft pick Tyler Wilson during preseason camp.


“Congrats to @MGloinQB11 for making the @RAIDERS 53,” Yahoo! Sports Rand Getlin tweeted earlier today.


The Raiders have to officially announce their cuts by 6 p.m. tonight.
