HANOVER TWP. - Police said Adam Slamas, 28, of Warrior Run and Fort Meyers, Fla., died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash on Middle Road late Saturday night.

The crash occurred around 10:50 p.m. near the intersection with Tanya Drive, police said.

Police said the other driver, Melissa Roberts, 28, of South Hanover Street, Nanticoke, was transported by ambulance to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. A Geisinger spokeswoman said Roberts was treated and released.

Police said Roberts was traveling north on the roadway in a Jeep and Slamas was traveling south in a Mazda. The drivers were alone in their vehicles that sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene, police said.

The crash is under investigation.
