Disco is stayin’ alive across nation

Disco is not only having a resurgence in nightclubs, but in record stores
as wellJoe Nardone Jr. of the local Gallery of Sound stores says compilation
albums featuring ’70s disco hits are big sellers among young shoppers, as are
releases by ’70s artists such as KC & The Sunshine Band, ABBA, Donna Summer
and the Village People.
    “I don’t think it’s a local trend,” he says. ” I think it’s a national
revival. Somebody said it’s cool again so everybody’s decided to follow along.
That’s how music goes — somebody tells somebody else it’s cool, and they see
it on VH1 and it verifies it for them and they go for it.”
