PITTSTON — Two brothers were arrested and warrants were issued for two other men in their alleged roles in operating a prostitution ring that involved two teens.

Anthony Lamont Boone, 30, and Gregory Boone, 29, both of Pittston, are accused of coercing a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman to be prostitutes and driving the two to a motel room in Tunkhannock, where a man paid them $300 for 30 minutes, according to charges filed.

Police believe the two brothers and Randy Coleman, age unknown, of Pittston, and Jose Alvelo, 29, of Nanticoke, posted the topless photos of the two teens on a website advertisement for escorts.

Anthony Boone was arraigned Thursday morning by District Judge Gerald Feissner in Freeland, and Gregory Boone was arraigned in the afternoon by District Judge David Barilla in Swoyersville.

They were charged with three counts of promoting prostitution of a minor, and one count each of unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of communication facility. They were both jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional for lack of $500,000 bail each.

Arrest warrants were issued for Coleman and Alvelo.

According to the criminal complaints:

A 16-year-old girl told police her 16-year-old girl friend and the four men asked her if she wanted to make $1,000 a night by “going on calls.” The teen girl did not know what “going on calls” meant until she went with the group to three motels.

An older woman in the car got out at each motel, stayed in rooms for 30 minutes, and returned, giving money to Anthony Boone, the complaint says.

The teen girl was told she did not have to engage in sex acts because some men wanted massages or had sexual fetishes, according to the complaint.

Police allege in the complaint the 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman were picked up on Aug. 24 and taken to 245 N. Main St., where they hung out. The 16-year-old said she was scared when she saw Anthony Boone get into a fight with his girlfriend over money. While at the house, the group talked about prostitution, at which time the 16-year-old said she was afraid of what might happen to her if she said “no” after seeing Anthony Boone slap his girlfriend, the complaint says.

Topless pictures were taken of the two girls and posted on a website that advertises escorts in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area.

The other 16-year-old girl answered phones to schedule appointments with the clients.

The two girls were given condoms and instructed how to proceed with clients, such as getting the money first and staying no longer than what the client had paid for, according to the complaints.

Coleman and the other 16-year-old girl drove the younger teen to a motel in Pittston Township and rented a room. As the younger teen was having trouble finding the room, she allegedly received a call from Coleman telling her to “get out of there” because a police cruiser had driven through the parking lot.

The two girls said they were then driven to a motel near Tunkhannock and instructed to knock on a door where they were greeted by a man who told them he was a trucker.

The man paid the two girls $300 for 30 minutes. While inside the room, the girls took off their clothes and sat on a bed, stalling for time as the man performed a lewd act, the complaints say.

After leaving the room, they returned to a car, where they allegedly gave Alvelo $300. Alvelo in return gave each girl $50, and the rest of the money was divided up among Alvelo, Coleman and Gregory Boone for being bodyguards, according to the complaints.

Police said they verified on the website that Anthony Boone, Gregory Boone, Alvelo, Coleman and the 16-year-old girl were soliciting prostitution involving juveniles and adults, the complaints say.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled on Oct. 23 before District Judge Andrew Barilla in Pittston.
