David Tevet and his wife, Edna, smile Sunday evening as they listen to speakers honor them at the 168th Anniversary Dinner of Temple B’nai B’rith in Kingston. The event was held at The Woodlands in Plains Township.The couple have operated Ollie’s Family Restaurant in Edwardsville for the past 32 years. They both became interested in the importance of a proper diet and became versed in the issues of childhood hunger and malnutrition and their links to the academics, behavior and health of children. In 2011 they founded Dinners for Kids. In 2012, David Tevet was awarded the Citation of Distinction by the Wyoming Valley Interfaith Council. The Tevets live in Kingston and are the parents of two adult children.
