Matt Greene led four players in double figures tallying 18 points to lift the Misericordia men’s basketball team to a 79-74 win over Eastern on Wednesday night.

Joe Busacca had 15 points while Steve Ware had 14 points and Erik Kerns added 12.

King’s 71, Delaware Valley 54

The Monarchs claimed a key victory on Wednesday, pulling a game within the final spot in the Freedom Conference tournament.

Freshman Dan Rutecki led the way with a double-double (18 points, 15 rebounds). Connor Hughes added 13 points off the bench while Kyle Hammonds and Tom Heston scored 11 apiece.

FDU-Florham 81, Wilkes 65

Pat Furst led the Colonels with 13 points, while Devin Dunn and Tyler Jackson each scored 11. Steve Stravinski chipped in with eight points and a season high 10 rebounds.

Wilkes heads to the road on Saturday for a 3 P.M. Freedom Conference game at Eastern University in St. Davids.


Misericordia 78, Eastern 76

Misericordia kept its postseason hopes alive with the win.

Sam Baro led four Cougars with 20 points and Hannah Seely added 19 points.

FDU-Florham 66, Wilkes 49

Wilkes led the seventh-ranked team in the country at halftime, but would falter in the second half en route to a loss.

Haley Mesaros led Wilkes with 14 points while Elena Stambone finished with 12.

Delaware Valley 74, King’s 53

Delaware Valley built a nine-point lead at the half and never trailed after that to post a Freedom Conference win over King’s

Jennifer Fabian led the Monarch’s with 17 points while Kayla Feairheller added 12.
