Mark Michno, of Shavertown, a senior football player at Dallas High School, will continue his academic and athletic career at Kutztown University (The Golden Bears), in the fall of 2014.


Michno, who plays defensive end and tight end, started playing football at age 5 on the D team for the Dallas Junior Mounts and continued through middle and high school. Hewas a captain for the Dallas Mountaineers in his senior year and was chosen to represent Dallas at the Unico All-star Game.


Michno is the son of Sharon Michno-Horst and Steve Horst, of Shavertown, and Mark Michno, of Old Forge.
