HAZLETON — Behind 19 assists each from Olivia Jankowski and Emily Sipple, Crestwood edged Hazleton Area 3-2 in a Wyoming Valley Conference girls volleyball match on Friday.

The Comets won 17-25, 25-11, 25-17, 20-25, 15-12. Bryanna Hurn added 12 kills in the win.

The Cougars were led by 24 assists from Christie Kaschak as well as 14 blocks from Julia Redulio 14 blocks and nine kills from Alivia Roberts.

Lake-Lehman 3, Dallas 0

Kahli Kotulski recorded 12 kills as the Black Knights won 25-18, 25-19, 25-15.

Brittany Acevedo contributed with 13 service points.

The Mountaineers were led by 10 digs from Mallory Faux.

GIRLS SOCCER

Berwick 2, Dallas 1

Gabby Kishbaugh contributed two assists in the Bulldogs win.

Talia Szatkowski scored the only goal for the Mountaineers.

Nanticoke 2, Hazleton Area 1

The Trojans were led by scores from Elizabeth Mulhern and Ryley Klepadio to earn the win.

The Cougars’ effort was led by a score from Madison Polumbo.

Pittston Area 5, Tunkhannock 0

Allie Barber scored three goals in the Patriots home win.

Traci Kromko and Hunter Jones combined for 17 saves in the net for the Tigers.
