Marijuana operation busted in the Poconos

PIKE COUNTY — Dunmore state police said they investigated an indoor marijuana growing operation Friday in Pocono Woodland Lakes Development, Dingman Township.


State police said drug charges were filed against Fernando Valdez Jr., 30, of Miami, Fla.


Over 20 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, 51 marijuana plants recently harvested and some cocaine was seized during the investigation state police said.


According to state police, Paul Bolivar, another resident of the house, was arrested on a felony drug warrant from Florida.


Valdez was locked up on $200,000 bail state police said.
