The week should not be a complete washout, but the chance for showers and thunderstorms will stick around for most of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 64 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with partly cloudy skies reported.

Mostly cloudy skies will stick around today, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 2 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, but more could fall in potential thunderstorms. Today’s high will be near 80.

Cloudy skies, along with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, are predicted for tonight. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and more could fall in any potential thunderstorms. Tonight’s low will be around 68.

Cloudy skies will become mostly sunny on Tuesday, but there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, but more could fall in any potential thunderstorms. The high will be near 85.

Partly cloudy skies are expected for Tuesday night, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms into Wednesday morning. The night’s low will be around 69 degrees.

Mostly cloudy skies will return on Wednesday, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms possible before 1 p.m. Showers will then become likely between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., along with a possible thunderstorm. Wednesday’s high will be near 82 degrees.

Mostly cloudy skies will stick around into Wednesday night, along with a slight chance of showers before midnight. The night’s low will be around 63 degrees.
